Default EVAP System - How to route everything?

Hopefully I can make this as brief as possible. First off, I have searched and there are a lot of posts, but all are older and the photos contained within are no longer online I also looked at the diagrams on acuraautomotiveparts.org and they aren't quite detailed enough...

I'm trying to find out how exactly the EVAP system is setup on an ITR, I don't own an ITR but am using an ITR IM for my b17a build and am trying to retain the EVAP system (for smog). I need to create some hybrid setup because of my mixing of chassis, engine, IM, and TB... I know exactly how the system works in my car (DB2) but need to learn more about the ITR's system. A couple close up pics would be best as I'm pretty familiar w/ all the components.

Here's what I know so far:

1) Port on back of IM connects to Purge valve - then a hose leads from the purge valve to something (pretty sure it's the EVAP canister)

2) On some ITR's there is no port on the top of the TB on some there are. The port I'm talking about is common to almost all hondas and typically has the red braided hose which leads to the EVAP canister.

3) ITR EVAP system does not use a small vacuum hose leading to the valve. Typically on older EVAP setups only a small vaccum line and the wiring connect to the valve.

Any photos someone can contribute would be awesome, or if they have any suggestions or wish to explain the way the ITR system works. Or better yet, anyone have pdf file of an ITR repair manual? TIA

Sounds like you simply have to spend some cash and buy the book. It shows Everything you need and plenty more.

I'd hate to order a manual, spend $60-$70 (or more, I forget what they run now), then wait for shipping to just see two or three pages of the manual and then never look at it again... I already have the manual for 92-93 Integras, 90-91 Integras and 89-891 civics, so I'm not against buying manuals, just don't think it's worth it in this situation (plus I'm in a time pinch).

OK, baby steps, maybe a more specific question will help.

How about a photo of the canister itself?

The hose which leads from the purge valve to the back of the manifold... is this line supplying vacuum for the valve? Or is this the line by which the fuel vapors are transferred from the canister to the IM?

I did search and am continuing to search. I found a lot of good text but all the older photos are down. Trust me, I am not a noob.

I'll look for that helms link. Was the link just a photo of one page, multiple pages? Is it of the ITR system? Cause from the posts and pics I've seen the ITR system is different from a lot of the others (it may be common to some I just haven't figured out which ones).

That link/post was gone as fast as it came up. I was going to print some areas of it I needed and it was taken off before I could even get home from work.

Since my rebuild doesn't have a motor, I can't help with your specific questions. I can say, that the helms is the best money I have spent on literature...period. You will not regret the purchase for this project, or many many others down the road.

Like I said, I have three manuals already, I understand their value and their use. I wouldn't think of trying to work on my car without the manual for that car. However I do not own an ITR, I have a DA and a DB, I only need to look at a couple pages of an ITR manual one time, it will not help me in the future and would be a waste of money.

Thankfully I now have the info I need. Thanks to those who actually HELPED.
