Hey all -

My employer (Roadfly.com) is hosting a VIP unveiling of the new GT-R at the DC Auto Show tomorrow. VIP participants will be able to sit in the GT-R, ogle the scantily clad promo models, and get free GT-R-branded stuff.

The big boss (Charlie) has <u>50 tickets to get into the Auto Show for free</u>, and <u>70 VIP tickets to get past the velvet rope at the Nissan display</u>. That means 50 people will get a totally free ride and a ticket to the VIP event, and 20 more people will just get free VIP treatment, but will still have to pay the show's entry fee at the door (I am told it's $10).

Tickets will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis based on the names on the list.

He definitely wants some variety, rather than an all-Roadfly crowd...so he told me to post this here to get some Honda-Techers in there. First-come, first-served...so be there early!

Also - when replying to get your name on the list, make sure you mention you heard it on Honda-Tech.

To reserve a spot on the list you must email laura@roadfly.com and type "Nissan GT-R Event" in the subject line. Please email me your name and your Roadfly username if you have one. About the GT-R:

I should add that this is not a commercial post. Roadfly is not making any $$ on this, and neither will I (not like I make anything anyway).

It's more a way for Roadfly and Nissan to kiss each other's butts a little bit; Nissan is really good about getting us cars, puts on great press events, and has a good bunch of people working for them.

There will only be 70 people max there...and we will be allowed to sit/drool/blort all over the GT-R, unlike the thousands of average Joes that will just have to walk by it and snap pictures to post on ClubSi.

The GT-R is nice, I saw it last weekend. Although they brought the jdm version instead. And no one was allowed to touch or sit in it. Try to get a video of it and sit in it. Try to mention that the GT-R in no way can match the raw power of the Type R. And that the handling of the Type R is way better than the GT-R. Haha.
