DB8R windshield?
Does anyone know a way of identifying an OEM Honda DB8 Type R windshield? Markings, part number, thickness, weight etc. As far as I know OEM Honda doesn't have the dark tint strip along the top, and Type R is thinner glass. I want to ensure I'm not getting an SiR-G one, or aftermaket. I care about this sort of stuff.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Here is the part number: 73111-ST7-A01
That part number fits RS, LS, GS, GS-R and Type R models. I got this information from my local Acura dealership and I checked on a few different websites that sell OEM Acura parts, they all only show that one part number.

I think the thinner glass was only in JDM Type Rs, which is probably why it's harder to get the info. I read somewhere that for Australia the thinner glass wouldn't have met their safety standards so they didn't get it. US might be the same.

Re: DB8R windshield?
I think this is the part number for it. I ran this against the JDM EPC using my 96-spec DB8R VIN.
Part: 73111-ST8-Z00
And for the SiR-G
They are different...and also different from the USDM market, which is not a surprise.

Thanks cheezthis - that does help. Hopefully there is also a way to tell easily them apart. Not sure if they are physically labelled with the part number...

Re: DB8R windshield?
OEM Type R windows are thinner. Only reason why I know is I cracked my windshield real bad driving on the freeway my first year owning the R. When I went in for the replacement the dealer wanted $600 for Type R glass. I ended up buying a generic wind shield for $180.

Re: DB8R windshield?
USDM is the same. For example, a 98 ITR vs 98 GSR:
