ClubSi Gingerman Raceway Event Reg Info for June 21st, 2004
Ok it’s that time of year again when we are starting to prepare for our 4th event at Gingerman. Below is all the info you guys should need. I’m taking payments for people that want to register in the MN, IL and WI area. You can look below for more info. We also have a discounted hotel rate at the Holiday Inn in South Haven. That info and confirmation number is below also. If one of the mods can keep this up top of this forum for a few weeks that would be great, it should not be long before the event is full. Thanks again and I hope some of you guys can make it.

2004 ClubSi/Honda Gingerman Raceway Event
Monday June 21st, 2004
As of January 2nd, 2004, registration is officially open on the 4th annual Gingerman Raceway Event. The event is to be held Monday June 21st, 2004 at Gingerman Raceway, South Haven Michigan. Track location can be seen at http://www.gingermanraceway.com .
Cost is set at $70 US per person. The event will include T-shirts for everyone, chance to win door prizes and trophies similar to other years. We will have corner workers and a flag steward from the track assisting us. We plan to have three driver instructors this year to offer advice/instruction to those that wish to participate. Track time begins around 9am to 5 pm with half hour lunch break. There are 4 groups rotating in 15 minute heats, so one heat every hour. This works out to a lot of track time. Drivers meeting to be held at 8am on site, tech inspection on site leading to the first group on track by 9am.
All that is required is a helmet and a vehicle in good operating condition. Newbies welcome, the event and track operate very safe each year. Newbies make up a large portion of the event each year and all have done extremely well in past events.
There is a high level of interest in the event. We can only accept a limited number of participants. Spots are allocated on a first-come first-serve basis. After all spots are filled we can only put interested persons on a waiting list to fill spots that may come
vacant due to cancellations. Last year the event was completely filled by early February. I would expect the same this year , if not earlier.
There are four persons accepting payments this year. Scott McDermott in Wisconsin,Mike Pendola in Michigan, Chad Houghtaling in Michigan and Joey Mazzotta in
Ontario. I usually recommend people to register with the organizer that is located closest to them, however you may contact any of the four persons. Joey, Scott, Chad,
and Mike will accept payments by check or money order. Mike will handle all credit card payments as well. Joey will handle all paypal payments as well. You may have to
choose your organizer by the method of payment.
Contact the organizer that you wish to register with by email. The email addresses are listed below. They will respond and provide you with their mailing address or other
information to register you in the event. Depending on the circumstances of each organizer it may take up to one week to hear back from them, please be patient. Once you receive the information from the organizer you will arrange to provide them with a payment of $70 US p.p. . You can register multiple persons with one payment. We will accept check payments which are post-dated to a future date , this is a good way to
reserve your spot and pay at a later date if cash is a little tight this time of the year. You can date your check as late as February 28th, 2004. Your check will be cashed on the
date that is listed on it.
Cancellations will be accepted with full refund up to March 1st, 2004. After March 1st, 2004 you must find someone to replace you, or we may be able to fill your spot with persons from the waiting list if they exist. Refunds will only be given after March 1st, 2004 if a person is found to fill your spot. This is very important , keep this in mind before you register.
Once your payment is received and cashed in full, you will be sent a confirmation package in the mail. When you reigster with an organizer you must supply us with your full name, address, phone number, and e-mail addy where possible. When you receive our information documents in the mail there will be a classification sheet which must be filled out and returned to Sam Karp (registration organizer) by mail by a certain due date
listed on the documents. The classification sheet assists us with registration the day of the event. Classification sheets which are not returned to Sam Karp by the due date listed will result in a $10.00 penalty charged to the participant. The $10.00 charge must be paid the day of the event in order to particpate. This is very important, we will make easy for everyone to return the sheet in a pre-addressed envelope, so there is no exccuse
not to return the classifcation sheet by the due date . We do not want to charge persons the additional $10.00 so please follow the instructions in the package when you receive it.

Hotel info from Joey:
Have some hotel information for those that need rooms. We have 15 rooms set aside at the Holiday Inn in South Haven Michigan, its the closest hotel to the track, nice hotel, safe parking area. Hotel phone number is 269-637-8800.
Cost is $80.10 US per night, which is less than the advertised price. This applies to Sunday night, Monday night and any weekday after that. If you arrive on Saturday the rate is higher, most of us arrive Sunday though.
The rooms are booked under a confirmation number. If you wish to have a room there call up the hotel and give them the confirmation number. They are to switch the rooms from my name into yours. A fews before the event I have to cancel any unused rooms. Be sure to refer to the confirmation number to get a discount, or you will pay the regular rate.
The Confirmation number is: 61896095 , event name is ClubSi, my last name is Mazzotta, but the confirmation number is pretty much all you need. All rooms are non-smoking as of right now, they may be able to switch if you call early enough. I believe they are with two double beds as well. but discuss that with them when you call.
There is also camping at the track for really cheap, contact the track for info. a week before the event, the info can be found at http://www.gingermanraceway.com.

Yes this event is $70.00 and for anyone!! We just tried to break down the areas for people signing up so that not one organizer gets overloaded with a bunch of people registering.
Every year we have a great turn out, all kinds of cars and skill levels. Its just a blast!!

WAI: I have know idea what it will run. Besides the motor I have also changed the brakes, most likely will play with the springs (susp.) and try to remove a little more weight from either me or the car
