Busted Strut Tower Bolt
Oops, I didn't think I torqued it that much. In fact I know I didn't. Anyways, a stud broke off, is there anything I can do? are the bases threaded through underneath or are they welded to something?
Help appreciated.

Re: Busted Strut Tower Bolt (sackdz)
you should be able to just knock out the rest with a BFH and a nail set. should be able to replace in kind from acura parts department. check with them.
edit ( you guys sure they're welded?? )

Re: Busted Strut Tower Bolt (D)
it happened to me. they are spot welded but not somethinga hammer and punch cant fix. you do have to remove some goo where its welded. just get a utility knife and cut around the nut. and replace it with an OEM replacement or a nut and a washer.

Once you lift up the car, the upper A-arm should drop down enough for you to see them. They are right above the arm when the car is sitting on the ground. You should not have to remove any plastic.
