Buddyclub Spec 2 with Vibrant Muffler?

Buddyclub Spec 2 with Vibrant Muffler?
Just wondering if anyone here has something similar. I need to get a 2.5inch exhuast system and came up on a good deal on Buddyclub Spec 2 exhaust and a Vibrant Stealth Muffler. I don't want the car to be too loud, therfore i chose the Vibrant Muffler? Any input on this setup or any better suggestions?

BC's are known to be loud... If you want it to be quiet get a 18" resonator welded in, should keep the noise down a bit.

Yes i know the Buddyclubs are known to be loud...That's why i was thinking of putting in the Vibrant Muffler to keep the noise down a lil. Read that the Vibrant Muffler was not restrictive. so I wouldn't lose any power.

lol. you don't want your car to be loud with a buddyclub spec 2? i had buddyclub spec 2 and it was loud as hell, but made sick power for a bolt-on. the vibrant muffler looks nice next to a es oval since it has the little tip..sorta reminds me of the ITR stock exhaust tip.

Well, I've seen many videos with the BC 2 and they're pretty loud..What I meant was to use the pipings from the BC2 and have them weld on the Vibrant at the end.

until i see it, i don't think you can tame a bcII with any muffler.

custom 3" inch turbo back exhaust with no resonators and a straight through 3" vibrant muffler is streetable on my car. looks pretty stock too. if I added a resonator you probably wouldnt hear it at all.

put that on an NA car and get back to me.
youre wasting money on the buddy club exhaust just to put a muffler on it. its thin wall stainless and is still going to resonate/be raspy with a muffler, and its not true 2.5" either.

It is pretty loud.

put that on an NA car and get back to me.

Don't waste your money/time trying to customize a SpecII. In the end you'll have something almost on par with a SpecIII, and even that exhaust is a little loud for a daily driver IMO--especially if you do a header/high-flow cat.

right...its because youre turbo. its a whole different sound on an NA car for sure.

Maybe you're right, I guess if i want true performance, i'll have to deal with a little noise...I guess I'll just got with a T1R. I can alwayz put a Noise filter on it if it bugs me that much.

i cut the tip off of my spec two, and its a lot quieter when your just cruising with very little throttle, but now WOT is a TOTALLY different animal

just to give u a head up, i have the vibrant steath (2.5") with the t1r midpipe, test pipe with the rage header, and i think its still pretty loud , but than i guess i m comparing it to my mugen twinloop, but the tone is really deep so its not like i can't tolerate it, but its not as quiet like people say it is.

The only reason I was even thinking about this setup was because it would only cost me half as much as a new T1R exhaust... i wanted to know everyone's opinion and see if anyone has done something similar before i jump into it.

Something else to think about, the Buddy Club exhausts are made of very thin-walled stainless steel in order to keep the weight down, where as the Vibrant is your standard heavy-*** steel painted muffler. Those two might not mix together too well, I'd recommend some kind of reinforcement at the welds.

I just bought a T1R 63mm Power exhaust from FAST4dr on here, PM him and I'm sure he'll give you a good deal. It's a preorder so it won't be in till end of August which is almost here or beginning of Spetember and he only has 10, so you may want to get on that ASAP!

Vibrant mufflers will get raspy after about 2 years.
I'm taking mine off (which was a 2.5" SS custom b-pipe with Vibrant mufflers and resonators).
