yeah, it will work... just be ready to sleep on the couch. leaves nasty residuals/smells in the dishwasher. you can also do this in the washing machine using one of those undergarment zip bags. same nasty residuals.

from my dirt bike days, we used to wash the foam Uni filters with gas, then rinse it out in a bucket with dawn detergent and warm water. do it a couple of times, then rinse in warm water in a bucket. let air dry, then oil the filter by putting it in a plastic baggie and adding the foam filter oil to it. squish it all around until the filter is completly impregnated with oil. wring it out by squeezing it, not twisting it or you stand a chance of ripping the seams. to me, a lot of work to get a clean filter.

as you can see, I'm not a big fan of foam filters. K&N for me.

I did it in my kitchen sink with warm water and dish soap, used running water to clean soap off filter. I found the filter cleaning to be a pain in the ***, and with such a short cleaning interval I decided to switch to the drop-in K&N with the Comptech box and stock ITR hose.

Me = Spray Comptech Foam cleaner, dry and rinse off with warm water then reoil.

It's very clean and it's only a 10 min job.
