ARP head studs for B18C5
I will be removing the head off my C5 in a very short time and would like to get a set of ARP head studs.
The ARP application guide (which can be viewed here) does not show a kit for the C5. I have called ARP and they don't really know of the C5 and the differences with this setup and others. UGHH.
Anyway, they do make a kit for the B16A (part # 208-4601) which uses their 11mm X 1.5 thread pitch studs that are 7-1/8" (7.125") long. Given that the stock head bolts are 164mm long (6.456") are the 7.125" studs long enough to both bottom out in the threads in the block and allow room for the washer and nut? ARP also makes the same bolt in 7.250" but is this one too long? will it come into confilct with the other stuff going on in the head?
Please help.... if you have used ARP head studs please let me know what you used and how they are working out.
