This happened to me years ago when I had got my first alarm installed...
The installer had pulled the cable off when attaching the alarm LED....
There is a cable that attaches your climate control temp. lever to a valve of some sort (centered behind your dash by the floor near where the heat comes out). You can open and close the valve by hand. Note: You may not need to replace the cable if just the connection piece/clip broke off. Have a look and be creative, you may be able to fabricate a clip/fastener of some sort. Other than that - replace the cable. Hope this helps!

in my del sol VTEC (B series so urs is the same), its right on the firewall. It has a line that goes to the heater core, the outlet will have a valve with a cable going to it. Thats what ur looking for.

Find out if it's the climate unit side, or the valve side the cable is attatched to. If it's the climate side, I've got one that came out of my car.

Re: (ge_itr)
you should be able to reach the bottom part of it by removing cener console.. one end of cable can be reached from passenger side, underneath dashboard where center console would go. you shold see loose/broken cable, if its not loose or broke.. then you have to remove the control unit. there are 4 connections.. you just have to be carefull not to break anything - its very easy to do. the other part of the cable hooks on top control unit.
