Another I hate Carsound Cats thread *only lasted 3 months* errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!
Man I hate my car sometimes when I get it fixed some other small little bug pops up. I am going to my mechanics to get a fuse fixed and on the way I am getting on the freeway I punch it and redline 1-3 gears and then slow down and then I smell something burning I am like WTF now is wrong errrrrrr. Well I get to my mechanics and we fix the fuse that blue and car is back to 100% but I turn it on to hear what sounds like mables in a coffee can WTF. I figured it was my JDM lower heat shield I did not put all the bolts on but the smell of gas told me it was prob my carsound cat taking a **** on me so we lift the car up hit the cat lightly with a rubber hammer and sure enough * clank clank SOB I just put in on in the middle of august and it is already crapped out on me.
Well enough of the rants is there a better cat available that wont take a dump on me case I dont justify spending another 185 on a cat to only crap on me in 3 months errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Any help woudl be great
Chris

Nice link skills there, Yack
Here j00 go --> http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...92&prmenbr=361
They quit selling the generic universal cat that I had (and probably Yack, too), which was about $55. The above appears to be the cheapest universal they carry.
I had mine on for about 15k miles, passed sniffer in NC with Toda B's

Someone should flange those Jeg cats up so people can buy them ready to be bolted on.

Try the METALIT Sports cats; they make a DC2 specific model. Same technology as what is used in the Hytech exhaust w/the Renault Megane cat.

I had a Carsound that crapped out and started rattling after 3 months as well.
I think the fact that our ITR's run very rich from the factory may have something to do with it.

And where can we get these? Are these those JDM ones that cost an arm and a leg?

Supposedly best flow rate of any cat on the market.
Technology is German; Austin can confirm the core resemblance to the Renault cat employed by HYTECH.
Metalit DC2 model is JY 58000; similar offerings from FEEL'S and most recently, Apexi (but only for Nissans & EVOs).
