97 R with 30,000 miles..Selling price??
I used to post on H-T all the time but don't have much time lately..The same goes for my R, which has been sitting in a garage under a cover for 2 years now..I try to take it out once in a while, but with no alarm anymore, i'm limited as to where i take it. I love the car and may end up keeping it but the topic is up for debate since i am about to get married and need the $$$..
This car is mint except for a burn hole put in the drivers seat by a thief that couldn't steal it and got frustrated..It puts 225 to the wheels and is a blast to drive. If i was to sell, what do you think? Maybe $18,500? More? I'm kind of out of the loop now so i'm not sure..Any help would be appreciated as i'm just trying to get an idea before i make a decision..

225 to the wheels? What kind of mods?
I would guess that the mods would hurt resale value slightly. If it were completely stock, I would say around 16,000-17,000, but would take a while to find the right buyer.
FWIW, a friend of mine had a hard time selling a bone stock '98 ITR with 3500 original miles for $19K

What's the towing capacity?
Yeah, 97 ITR prices seem to vary, and your return on the supercharger will be low if not negative...
Take your time on the sale, you might be able to get close to $18.5.. but it is after all an 8 year old economy car
Edit, bring it back to stock, you can probably sell the blower for some cash. PITA, but it would likely sell for more that way.

Re: 97 R with 30,000 miles..Selling price?? (Bbasso)
just for comparison my gf recently picked up a 97 about a few months ago
50,000 miles..some boltons and near mint condition..located in chicago
bought for $12,995 from private party..i know it's low (you'll most likely get more than what she bought hers for) but even though it's a type R it's still a 97..
