Re: Yonaka WS2 Catback Exhaust Review
Can anyone give me a comparison of sound between this and a stock exhaust?
I want something that is as quiet as stock, but looks a lil cooler and will last longer.

That's an easy youtube find bud...and stock will last plenty long. If your looking for something that's "cooler" think about getting the ITR axleback.

With the Yonaka.
With the 06+ axle back
What about a 06+ Civic Si axle back? I swapped the axle back out for a Civic Si axle back. Sounds pretty mean.

I'd love to do something like that, but the main midpipe is what needs replacing the most. So I'd really just want to get a whole new exhaust.

Plus this will stick w/your "quiet as stock, but looks cooler" concept...
Just my $.02 I suppose.

I agree, that would be perfect, however it's alot of work for a car I dont really play with at all. This is my daily. And I honestly dont like working on it much, so I just want to be able to bolt something up and just go with it.
So my options are really that Yonaka, OEM, or a used WS2.

I do have one complaint about this system though, the resonator edges would be nice if it was round, I can't get into my garage as it keep getting caught, although I'm not sure if most system has it design like this. My resonator is about an inch and half off the ground. My car has 3" drop.
Here some pics of the clearance I am talking about:

Wish I can, one car garage and can only open one door just enough to get out. I always park about an inch away from the wall on passenger side sometimes even less, can't even fit my hand between the car and wall. Have to creep my way out on driver side.

So you don't have a cat on yours either? But I have that problem just with normal driving I was told people see sparks from my car at night ..lol

Re: Yonaka WS2 Catback Exhaust Review
I was thinking about picking this up when my factory exhaust starts to bite the dust.
I'm curious though, the listings specify that it will only fit the 2000-2001 GSR's, why is that?
I was under the impression the exhaust set up manifold back was the same from on the GSR's from 95-01?

Thought I'd bump this.
I ended up picking this exhaust up about 2 months ago now. I had to lengthen the B-pipe to fit my shorter GSR header/cat. Installation was a breeze. resembles the stock exhausts appearance. My friend's were impressed with it as much as I was. It's quiet enough for my DD which is essentially bone stock aside from this exhaust.

Re: Yonaka WS2 Catback Exhaust Review
It may be a civic but has the heart of a gsr. I my exhaust a couple months ago and I am very pleased. I currently have a Hytech style header so there were modifications needed. I plan on added a cat soon. I also decided to cut the tip off. It did caused rasp when I cut it of but I am hoping the cat will cure it.

Re: Yonaka WS2 Catback Exhaust Review
It should sound better with a cat. Most people I've heard running these exhausts have said the same thing about the raspiness with a test pipe.
Also what do you mean when you say you cut the tip off? If it's the tip after the muffler I can't see that changing much, if at all.

Re: Yonaka WS2 Catback Exhaust Review
I posted pics of where I cut the tip off after the muffler. I didn't think it would change anything either but it did so beware. It was the only thing I changed so it was def caused by removing the tip. If you think about it, it does makes since the larger tip would smooth the air flow out before hitting the open air. Almost like the muffler does with the smaller diameter piping going into it. It has a pissed off bumble bee sound between 3400-3500 rpms now when I am hard on the throttle. I plan on adding a new tip but much smaller than the original. I also plan on painting the can black for a more discrete look.
I have the 07+ civic si axle back and its quieter than my old vibrant. Sounds pretty unique, not like any other b series honda.
