Get a timing gun and learn how to use it.

Start at 18 degrees and move up until it starts to ping. I would recommend staying at 18.

word on the streets is that you don't need to do any timing adjustments with those mods unless your timing was off to begin with.

word on the streets says it is....but you stand to gain some low/midrange by bumping it to 18 (or higher). watch for pinging though, and make sure you slap some high octane in the tank.

What they might be talking about is your ecu adjusting to the mods. Reset the ECU if it hasn't been done since you added the mods. It's easy to do, google search.

cant you just reset it by taking off the battery terminals and let it sit off for like 3 mins.

Or you can DIY valve adjustment as per the instructions in any manual for about a hour worth of your time, max.

Pretty much, except start it up without touching the throttle and let it idle for a few minutes.

when you hear a ping you might want to back up your timming a little bit " ping is bad" also with timing just back from detonation i felt a little power loss we took it back to .. forgot the degree but fully advanced was a power loss with just bolt on's
