Default white smoke questions

Baught this car roughly 2 weeks ago. When i baught it no white smoke. Its been sitting since then while i replaced the acle ane a wheel bearing(seems like i need to replace the other too) but my question is what could cause the white smoke? It eventually lightened up but wen i press the gas some shot out which that eventually light up as well. I need a thermastat if that helps. It smells some what like coolant. Any help would be great since i need it for work tuesday

that would be a problem. if it smells like coolant, might be a head gasket.

check under your oil cap to see if your oil is milky colored.

if it smells sweet and your coolant level is low, it's gonna be either a breached headgasket, due to either a cracked or warped head, or it's gonna be a cracked sleeve.
most likely the headgasket

the only way coolant ends up in the exhaust is a leak into the combustion chamber. that's it. and the only way that happens is as i'd outlined in my previous post.
it is driveable, sure. but it's notgoing to get better. and you'll damage your catalytic converter, if you haven't already

is it an easy fix? depends on how inclined your ability is. and your access to tools to make the job easier.

turned up not to be the headgasket. all just a matter that the car sat for awhile an i was paranoid since i got a good deal. now i just gotta figure out a few more smaller issues. such as every time i tap the brakes the dash board and turn signals light up. no idea wat the issue is.

Your dash light problem is most likely due to the two filaments of a dual filament bulb are touching each other, or you have a tail light grounding problem.

To test, remove all tail light bulbs, [brake/signal/tail, [park] and back-up light bulbs, test by stepping on brake, if dash lights no longer light up, the problem is in the rear.

Replace light bulbs in pairs, back-up lights first, step on brake, if no change replace a set of duel filament bulbs, if at any point the dash lights light up again, remove one of the duel filament bulbs at a time, when dash lights no longer light up, you have found the bad bulb.

If on the other hand, if any duel filament bulb lights up the dash lights, the problem is most likely the tail light ground, it is common for all the tail lights, [park/brake signal].

Also, if removing all the tail light bulbs, does not stop the dash lights from turning on, you have a short, most likely in the harness running to the rear of the car, to confirm, unplug the rear harness at the front of the car, idf dash light now do not turn on, uncover the rear harness and find the short. 94

how did you conclude that it wasn't the headgasket?

Because obviously he is the smartest person he knows.

Still has gasket issue most likely, just finally dried the exhaust out enough to not think it is bad. Let it sit for a couple of days, it will return.

no disrespect bro. im not coming into the scene and looking to deal with ppl with attitudes and cocky tones. im here on the forum trying to learn as much as i can. have some general conversation and if i have an issue id like to be able to post about it and see where i stand.

its sitting for a few days i guess ill test your smarts wen i go to work on my wiring issue?. if it doesnt come back does that make u the dumbest person we know?.

as far as how i confirmed it wasnt the HG i had to seperate mechanics run through the car. i let it sit and warm up full temp. then drove it for roughly 35 minutes no smoke. outside of a little bit wen i press the gas. the some what sweet smell disappeared. i then parked it and let it run for an hour. no smoke nothing. this was after i let it sit for another 4 days was told this car runs perfect and that i need to just drive it.
