Default Whistling sound when accelerating.... vacuum leak???

I have this really high-pitched whistle sound when I accelerate and it sounds like it's coming from the side the intake goes off to. Is there probably a vacuum leak somewhere along the intake thats making this annoying sound? thanks

If u have an aftermarket intake such as a CAI or SRI it whistles on it's own, nothing to worry about though, just a slight annoyance.

Like Jason said if you have a after market CAI or Short Ram its normal. Mine whistles around 2k rpm.

you may have a slight crack in your header also.. my b16 made a whistling sound when the stock header was cracked.

try to rotate the filter around w/ the car on and adjust it back and forth to try to eliminate the whistling. you can also try to spray a little wd40 on the filter....

You just have to deal with it. It's caused by the sound of air rushing past the throttle plate at certain throttle positions.

Check to see if your IACV is bolted up well. I had the same problem with my DC. It was because it was loose.
