When will you "feel" the difference in treadwear rating/compound
Starting from scratch on tires again got sold some mismatched size and tread wear rating tires , for the front I'm really wanting to get some 205 toyo R1R's in the front. But I don't really have 700$ to get all 4 they are R compound tires rated at 140 tread-wear for the rears I was thinking something in the 240-280 tread wear ?. will I notice a difference in the 100 or so tread-wear rating amongst the same company ?.
32mm rsb in the rear& no front bar so it's meant to slip around a bit thus why I'm thinking I can get away with a 280 UTGQ in the rear maybe in a 225mm even ?

Don't do that. Stick with the same compound all around and adjust from there. My buddy went to the track with his Integra (it was an ITR...but...still) with R comps up front and RE11s in back. It was uncontrollable. Hilarious, infact.
UTQG isn't always directly related to grip.

hmmm ok i'll have to lower my standards on what I get then...how big a difference do you think is noticeable in terms of 100vs 140 ?. I don't really want to get those ventus RS3's but they are allowed in the street class and classed as a 200 UTQG, I know it doesn't always mean more/less grip but that's the main thing they class us by at CSCS. I can always max out my camber kit I guess or loosen the sway bar. last season was so simple they virtually had no rules other then the tires and gutted interiors.
if you had to suggest a tire with 205/r15 200+ UTQG what would it be ?

Dunlop Direzza Z2....hands down. Or the BFG rival if you don't need wet grip.
Either one of those will be close to the traction of a lower grip R comp like a R888. They may grease earlier....but I doubt you'll have greasing issues with a gutted integra.
I found that 225s up front and 205s in back work well.
I think rivals and RS3 are available in 225/45 for the front. Put the 205 dunlops/rivals in the back.
**I'm almost sure rivals are available in 205.

Direzza Z2 is the new version of the Dunlop starspec. These seem to be a majority favorite tire overall. I've tried other tires and come right back to these.

Ideally speaking, you'd want 7 or 7.5 at the bare minimum. I had them on 15x6.5" +30 RC-G4's. They gripped way harder than when I had 205/50 ADVAN AD08s all around. But then again, my ITR didn't have additional negative camber when I had 205's.
Either way, you can always buy a pair of 15x8 or 7.5 for the front. I kept looking for staggered size wheels to avoid the head aches of running 15x8 in the back of my street car. But I couldn't find much in that size and I was totally unwilling to buy Rotas.
ICB motorsport started carrying 15x8 TE37 SL's after I bought my RC's....but they weren't selling them by the wheel. Just in sets, IIRC.

Re: When will you "feel" the difference in treadwear rating/compound
With 225/45 on 6.5" wheels, you lose a little steering response and you lose a little bit of the tire width. But I do feel like my car was faster.
I passed a lot of other ITR's/Integras on 205 street tires and got my ITR to lap about as fast as a stock base model AP2 S2000 (with decent street tires and a pad similar to hawk HP+ garbage) at Gingerman (+/- 1 sec). For reference, that's about as fast as a stock EVO9/10 or E46 M3 would lap the same track. So....not bad considering my only engine/drive train mods were a header and 4.78FD.

Your ITR on the setup that I now own was crazy fast. That whole 6.5" wide rim and losing steering feel is just a bunch of nerds creating an argument. Like they could ever tell the difference. Also, you might lose a little bit of the width while driving in a straight line, but I can take a picture of the tires that your ITR tracked on and show you still use the whole tire.

Wow. What a clean looking DB8 GSR with B18C1 engine and sunroof option. Are you the original owner? Not many of those left around.
BTW.... Is that peanut butter on the seats?

Re: When will you "feel" the difference in treadwear rating/compound
^those are 225/45/15 RS3. 15X6.5 +30 as mentioned before. But since it's an ITR/a GSR with ITR 5 lug hubs, it would be the equivalent of +25 on a regular integra.
ITR hubs stick out 5mm further. So a +30 would fit like a +25 on a regular integra.
