I'm not sure if there is a way to tell what year it is. I've always looked at the dizzy to see if it was obd0, obd1, or obd2. Then I can narrow it down to what years it could be, unless someone swapped the dizzy before hand.

the year is stamped right above #4? i think header....it circled, just take a picture and I'll tell ya

It is B16 or Type R. As mentioned above, the casting date is stamped on the head. There are extensive pictures of an ITR head in an old FS thread of mine.
