in those instructions he didnt strip the original paint off. if you leave the original on there with the wrinkle, would it be necessary to have more wrinkle paint or could you just use red paint?

If you can find a paint that is similiar in color to the Type-R red then you won't have to strip the paint. The problem with most paint is that it can't handle high heat and the paint is usually glossy and not flat or satin to match the Type-R red valve cover.
