I have a 92 GSR and my friend has a 94 GSR. Even when mine was stock it handeled much better than his, although his engine pulled slightly harder. I like the looks of the second gens better as well, including the interior. The quality just seemed to go down bettween the two generations.
You already found a 93 gsr? What is the price and condition of it? It is definately a rare car. If it's in good shape and the price is right, I'd go with the 93.
Let me know if you have any questions about the G2. I pretty much know the car inside and out.

The ride in my 93 always seemed "tighter" than my 99, but then the 93 is lowered and the 99 isn't so I dunno. As far as speed goes, they're very very close. People tend to jump the gun and say the G3 is faster, I tend to disagree because I've beaten my share of G3's in my stock G2, and it does seem happier up top than by 99, but at the same time we've all seen the timeslips for the B18C's so, seems like they're about the same. More power for the B18, less weight on the B17.
BTW, there never was a black G2 GS-R. Only colors ever offered were Millano Red, Frost White, and Aztec Green. If you're looking at a black GS-R, it's been painted or it wasn't born a GS-R

I didn't really look at the VIN # or anything, all I know is that it had a DOHC VTEC b18c1 motor and it was black with Tan Interior. It has 117000 miles, 94-95 GSR Wheels,It also had a GS-R Logo on the back right of the car .One thing I thought was weird was that it was cloth and didn't have a sunroof.(and it's black, which apparently doesn't exist.) So would you guys say that it was an LS with a swap? Or just a weird GS-R.Oh and by the way I am definatley going with a second gen now.
