Default Weight Reduction Conversation

Just want to get some insight on extreme weight reduction. Track-like basically. Of course stuff such as AC, power steering, sound deadening tar, interior, etc. How far have some of you taken it? Any suggestions, ideas, or comments? And please, no 'thats unsafe to remove' or 'thats ignorant' comments. Its ME driving the car, so I will be the one putting MYSELF 'in danger' lol. I want less weight, not safety, this isnt a daily and will possibly have a cage in the future.

My car is as stripped as it can possibly be, Except for a few things I want to keep it comfortablei

Rear plastics, carpet, back seats, speakers, misc interior trim pieces, everything AC, everything PS (atleast fill the rack and plug it). Front driverside torque mount (make sure you have solid mounts like hasport). All the engine brackets (for ps and AC). Cruise contol system, and the little ecu it has in the drivers foot well.

I'm deleting the abs, soon.

There's a lot more you could remove, door panels, window motors, wipers (front and rear). A big way to save weight is lexan windows. Along with some quality racing seats.

Stuff might be small but it does add up, my car is getting built for light track use and a "racey" weekend car. Two each his own, really. Not many people will like what you do so you'll have a lot of people who think its stupid.

I just bought a VX and did a motor swap!!!

I took out the sound deadening but I am replacing with lizard skin deadening. I figured I took about 15 lbs of sound deadening out and should put less than 5 lbs back in. It is much lighter and I want to have a car that won't drive me crazy if I take a 500 mile trip but I can still take to the strip for fun. The interior is currently gutted because I am about to start my blk interior conversion and it drives me crazy with all the rattling and the loudness of it being all metal
