Default water getting inside of my dc2..

so its been raining like crazy here in cali and for some reason my passenger side floor/floor mat is soaking wet... and i have no idea where its coming from!

at first i figured that it was coming from the top or right side of my windshield but i checked and its not. its weird because there is absolutely no sign where its coming from. it looks like its coming from underneath my car but that's impossible..

where do you guys think its coming from?

99% of the time its going to be the drain tubes running along each side of your car..... blow them out with air compressor and see if that doesnt help at all. if that doesnt work there is a compartment under the cowl that can get clogged up and it should be cleaned out as well.

Do you have any water leaking into the rear of your car... like under your spare or around the corners by your taillights?

everyone told me about the sunroof drains on my car, wound up being the urethane around the windshield was bad, only way i was able to find out was i put soapy water around the ouside edges of the windshield, and used compressed air and blew from the inside of the car around the edges. I had bubbles forming on the bottom part of the glass under the cowl, fixed that, leak went away. My passenger side used to fill up gallons.

Mine does the same, but the water is coming in somewhere inside the frame rail near the right side base of my windshield.

Remove your glovebox and kick panel trim, pour water down your windshield, and get under the dash and look up to see if you can see where the water is coming in.

bump!!
Having the same exact problem as the op. Dont mean to thread jack just that i want to fix this problem asap. My complete carpet is soaked, front and rear and under the seats. I dont have drain tubes because i have a RS model so no sunroof for me. I noticed that there was water in my tail lights so that would be my first choice but it hasnt stopped raining in Los Angeles...

Some would say the tail light gaskets, but in my case the water was getting in through the upper edge of the taillight lenses. I sealed up those top edges of the red lens and no more trunk leaks.

it actually is coming from below the windshield under the windshield cowl. you have to remove your wiper blades then remove the cover and below that on the passenger side there is another plastic cover with pop in screws holding it in. these screws have plastic seals under them and they slowly dry rot letting little bits of water in eventually to where it leaks down through the blower motor and on to your floor.

That's on DA's only. DC's have no such inner cover with screws.
