Default Type R Springs Vs. SIR-G springs.

I just got my SIR-G '96, and I want it a little bit lower, and I can get a great deal on ITR springs. My question is, are the stock ITR springs lower than the stock SIR-G springs? Will I notice a difference in height if I swap out my SIR-G springs for stock ITR springs???

you will be able to use the springs, yes.

you cannot use type r shocks, however, without the type r lca.

i would not put on type r springs on your stock shocks, though. i would put them on type r shocks, which would in turn require you to buy type r lca's, in order to get the most out of your setup. the type r springs were meant to be matted with the type r shocks.

exactly what i was trying to say. if the OP simply wants his car a little bit lower, i would recommend some eibach or h&r springs

The ITR sits 10mm lower than the USDM GSR, GS, LS, and RS.

He said he can get a great deal on ITR springs. not H&R or eibach. If youre gonna do all that, honestly for the money you can get aftermarket shocks and springs with similiar spring rates and drop

well I don't know if this helps any, but this is a Type R rear spring next to a GS-R factory rear spring.

<== factory GS-R springs in front, ITR springs in back, all on Koni Sport adjustable shocks on the lowest height setting

I got rid of the H&R Sport springs nearly 2 years ago. I took off the GC's a little over a year ago because they were too harsh. Sometimes I wish my car were a bit lower than it is now, but it really does look nice and ride great on the stock/ITR springs, lowered via the Koni spring perches.

SIRG JDM and ITR JDM REAR LCA are the same.

SAME open LCA to fit Dc2 JDM ITR shocks or SIRG shocks.
