Default TSX motor in an Integra?

I have searched some forums before posting this.

I was wondering how hard could it be to swap a tsx motor (k24a2) into a 94 integra? What parts do I need? What do I need to do for fabrication? And most importantly, is it worth it? Would it be better to just get an ITR motor since I have to spend extra on fabrication and parts for the tsx motor? thanx.

Save some $ get the GSR swap and use the left over $ for add ons. TSX would be uber expensive and would be tought to find aftermarket support for it

check the hybrid and all motor forum. There's been a couple ht members who have done the k20R/k24/k24r bottem end with k20R head/etc. I know there's a local shop here in cali http://www.rcrewracing.com/ thats been doing a lot of k series swaps. I believe they sell mounts and what not as well

it would be more worthwhile and cost effective imo to do the R swap. the R engine would require much less work too

wow if you were looking into this, about 2 weeks ago this guy in the classifieds was selling k24 motors for dirt cheap, he had a lot of them too. Was selling them for $2300 shipped!

legit seller too.

oh yeah, they were brand new, 0 miles, maybe you can contact him or something.

yeah, this guy is selling it for 2500 in my town, but i guess an itr would be much better since it's a weekend swap. But no one thinks this swap is beneficial?

that would be a nice torque monster

It is a helluva lot more work than a type R though, so, I'd stay away from it since you want this to be a weekend swap.

Wow! Long time no see stranger. Anyways, hybrid racing had a group buy for mounts and wiring, basically everything EXCEPT for the engine for about 2500. Not a bad deal if you ask me. The only problem with the K series swap, especially the K24, would be the ground clearance. The K24 will hang a bit lower than the stock engine, and will make negociating speed bumps, potholes...etc... a bit more difficult. It will also bring the weight balance much FARTHER foward than the standard B series engines. It'll bring a bit more understeer, and make the car a bit more difficult to handle in the twisties.
