Re: transmission filter... what?
Automatic transmission filter is frequently inside of the transmission case. No clue on Integras, but I imagine it is also inside the case.

Re: transmission filter... what?
Its buried inside the transmission. You have to pull the tranny and take it apart to change it (hence why it isn't considered a maintenence item on a honda. I can pretty much guarantee you it was never changed.

Re: transmission filter... what?

Re: transmission filter... what?
you dont have to remove the trans.. some cars have a/t filters that look just like oil filters.
Others like an a/t integra (someone please correct me if im wrong) most likely have what looks almost like an oil pan but smaller some where on the trans case.
Remove that pull the filter replace the gasket boom done.
oh and yea alot of shops will just do a fluid exchange and say the replaced the filter

The trans filter is inside of the trans. Their is no pan to drop to gain access no canister filter either. You have to pull and disassemble the trans, You parents got had

Re: transmission filter... what?
Give the transmission code (what type it is usally a 4 digit alpha-numeric) and I can tell you. best bet is that it is inside the transmission and you have to remove it & crack the case.

Re: transmission filter... what?
Actually I just found it,
http://www.transtar1.com/catView.asp...444&strIDS=444
select honda, scroll down to page 8 and you will see a blown apart diagram of your acura transmission and part 010 is your filter...Turbo 700R4's are easy to get to...Honda/Acura...not so much

and yes seems like filter changing is quite impossible unless you are rebuilding the transmission
seems like the only model/year that use the RO transmission is the 90 because on 92-93 changes to MPRA what is the difference between the 2 has tallest gears for hwy use

Re: transmission filter... what?
Honda auto transmissions arnt something to mess with really. We dont even do internal work at the dealer. To many small things that if your slightly off something can go wrong. I took a few autos apart at school and I will say this. They are a gigantic pain in the ***.

Re: transmission filter... what?
Mr. TheAsian, you are absolutely correct. The honda dealership doesn't even rebuild these units, they are sent to a factory in south-centeral ohio to be rebuilt there. The advantages of this is that all of the factory updates are installed...the warranty sucks compared to others. My first 700R4 was a PITA (pain in the *ss) but after the third one it got easier, I expect the same from this too.
