Default Tranny Leaking!!!!!Help

Yea i recently put on my clutch and flywheel on my car. I finish my car the 21 of June when i put on the tranny there was a crack by the filler bolt and there was no leaking. When i checked out my car this mourning i notice there was a puddle and it was tranny fluid and it constantly drips. What should i do??? do can it be fix???? or should i go and buy a new tranny??? Thanks

mine leaks too, but more so from where the 2 halfs meet. bottomed out. In your case I would take a look at where the fluid is coming from more specifically. if its from the bolt itself, try some lock tight or something along those lines. if it is a crack and is not too big some JB weld could do the trick or just a new shell for that half if you have the cash. A whole new tranny is not necesary.

*edit* Also, it is very comon that people some times under torque the bolts on the tranny, you minght want to go around and check that too

Most part stores also sell a stop leak solution to use in such situations...

also

mixing some LUCAS oil into the tranny willhelp prevent leaking as well (and at the same time help prolong tranny life)

Check the passenger-side axle seal. I've mistaken a drain plug or casing seam leak for a leaky axle seal before.
