Default lS vtec problems

i was wondering y my car only raves up to 5000RPM then i connect my gsr ecu i did ls vtec on my 96 integra ... can it be a sensor or is it that im using ls troudle body... can some one plz help me out.... replay or txt me at (209)303-9174

i have a 96 ls ,,, i when ls vtec but my vtec is not kicking in i have everything wire up. im using a ls throttle body

ummmm yea....your throttle body has nothing to do with the problem.


1.what ecu?
2.is it wired up right?
3.what head are you using?
4.check engine light?
5. complete thoughts please

is a 98 gsr p72
yes is wired right
im using a 95 gsr head is all obd2 do

95 head is obd1 and you're saying you went ls/vtec not when.

Check oil level. clean vtec solenoid screen. check to make sure you have no CEL.

yea is a 98 block, wit 95 head changed injectors everything to make it obd2

You need to run an obd1 ecu.

so if i connect a obd1 ecu it should run koo? but i changed everything to obd2 alternator, injectors

Your whole motor can be obd2. Distributor, injectors, alternator, harness, yada yada. You can still run an obd1 ecu. If its in an obd2 chasis then you will need an ecu conversion harness. I was thinking if your ecu is also a vtec ecu and vtec is not activating then your problem lies else where. Check your wiring or try a different ecu first to see if the problem lies within the ecu.
