I got a 95 gsr in a eg. The temperature is still bothering me.
When I drive down the freeway, after sometome the temperature will start to rise to about 3/4 of the way. I turn on the heater and it goes back to normal.
Sometime when I go faster, the temp might go down or sometimes go up. The fan works fine.
It seems like the when the thermostat opens up and when the coolant goes into the radiator, the car cools down.
But I am not sure its cuz of thermostat.

Btw I was doing some work to my FITV and I spilled like 2L of coolant and I put it all back in. Maybe I need to bleed the system

put a new thermo in if its not new , and bleed it properly.

aha k so run it till hot and open the bleader screw...right? then add some more water

no you take rad cap off , fill it up , start car from cold with HOT selected on the heating system , fan setting #2. let it run and idle with the cap off till its fully warmed up on the gauge and blowing hot heat. constantly making sure its full to the top. turn the heat off in the car now , replace rad cap , normally this is all thats needed for these cars.

low coolant will make your car overheat.

yea I know. My buddy said to open the rad. cap and start the car and have the bubbles come out. coolant just starts coming up and goes over the top in like 20 sec.
