1. Drain the synthetic oil out of your engine.
2. Fill the engine with conventional oil.
There are no problems switching back and forth (despite those myths that say otherwise). You just won't get the extra benefits of synthetic oil when you're using conventional oil.

Re: switching from synthetic to regular oil (nsxtasy)
I have personally seen leaks (specificly pan gasket leaks) start after swithching from conventional to synthetic.

This is a discussion regarding the transition from synthetic oil to convention, not vice versa. Let's please try to keep it on-topic.

Anything is better than that crap. It's a race oil, its not made for daily driving. I spun a bearing while idling at a stoplight because of it, so I did my reaserch and found out that it is known to call "premature bearing failure". They even had a recall for it. Get that stuff out of your poor engine.

1 year, 9k miles, and 2 oil changes, and I'm running fine on Royal Purple 10-30 in my 00 GSR.
I also seem to burn less oil with the Royal Purple, in comparison to Mobile 1 full synthetic.
So, if there are any legitimate issue with Royal Purple, please post up some links.

Based on your response, it sounds like you can't post any links to a reliable source noting a legitimate issue with Royal Purple, as TunerN00b reasonably suggested. And, as long as you can't, we can only assume that your alleged "research" and claims that "it is known to call 'premature bearing failure'" are BS. At least, that's how it appears. But it's easy enough to prove otherwise! Just post up some links to documentation that RP causes failures, from a reliable source, like TunerN00b asked. I'd love to see them.

His response is exactly what mine would have been the day before my bearing spun...

And the reason you can't back up your dubious claims of such "research" is...? Because it doesn't exist?

Because it was over 2 years ago and I dont feel like searching for it. I have nothing to proove, even if I posted a link to royal purples website stating a recall there would still be an argument.
If you are so intrested in a link, find it yourself. I could care less, I know I saw I saw it and am informed about it already. Finding the link would be no benfit to me so therefor it would be a waste of my time.

Maybe you got water in your oil on accident. If RP really was "crap", more people would have heard about it.
