Re: STR cam seal? (wuhungsixxx)
not at all worth it, the honda seal has been much improved. its a bitch to get out too (do a search, but if you need help ill tell you how)
anyhow the old seal is a metal insert covered in rubber where as the new seal is a hard plastic w/ an o-ring and has tabs so its much more easy to replace if it ever leaks again. i did mine 20k miles ago and not a single drop leaks.
btw the honda seal will cost about $4 and the str seal is about $30+.

I bought a silver aluminum camseal from jdmhondaparts for $20 or so a while back last year when I out in my cams. works like a charm.
STR is too much $$$$$.
didnt know that about the new oem design, good info

ARW - If you post a pic, someone's bound to respond. I also agree, it looks cluttered, and it's not from the a/c and stuff being in there, it's from all the RED splitloom you've installed everywhere. It takes away from the nicely polished valvecover you have.
To each their own I guess.
Here, I also have A/C, P/S, and a butt load of items as well.............
