Steering feels "loose" and "sloppy"
I notice that the steering on my 94gsr feels loose and sloppy. Even my sister 92 Accord with 140k miles feels more solid when controlling and steering the steering wheel. The steering on my gsr on the other hand feels very loose and sloppy. Doesn't have the tight solid feel. Is this normal or something has worn out?????

of what?!
have you been in any front-end collisions lately? definitely get this checked out, it's a pretty serious ordeal 80% of the time, happened to me in my old car and the shop wouldn't even let me drive home .. on the other hand it could just be the tie-rods, take it to a shop if you don't know what you're looking for

Do you want pictures of how to check that?
Do a search for those terms. I don't have any pictures.
Jack your car up and grab the front wheel at 3 and 9. Give it a shake. There
should be no play.

Re: Steering feels "loose" and "sloppy" (Creep)
My steering has felt pretty sloppy lately too.
If I hit a reflector or slightly uneven spot in the road, The car want's to pull drastically to one way.
It's like something has come loose or broken.
I did some monthly maintance this morning, The Teg. was up in the air for hours but I couldn't seem to find anything broken or wrong except my drivers side inner CV boot is torn, grease all over the place.....must have just happen!
That couldn't have anything to do with a drastic pulling to one side or the other....Could it?

As someone said, jack the front of the car up and inspect the play in the wheel. inspect the lower balljoint, upper balljoint, tierod end balljoint, and if none seem to be moving but there is play, it is likely that it is a bearing.

Re: (crazzeboost)
You can get one from NAPA or any parts store. You should get an alignment after changing it. However, to get yourself setup well enough to last until alignment, either count the amount of turns remove the tie rod end, or make sure to only slightly loosen the locking nut.

I can "feel" the steering more after removing the belt. There may not be anything wrong with his car at all. Just wanted to suggest something to he can do in case that is true about his car.

I got the same problem, but I know why it happened at least, I hit a sqaure curb last week, I can tell the tie rods are bent so Im goint put some news on see if that will do the trick if not I will do the balljoints next, got some rear work that needs to be done but no need to discuss in this post

if the bearings were bad, wouldn't you hear them whining or grinding or something? ive heard cars with bad wheel bearings before. is that true for hondas or can they be going bad and not make a sound at all?

yes you would. steer into the bas side, you will hear it get loud. steer out and it
will get quiet. Or just grab the tires at 12 an 6 and give it a good shake. Should
be some play there. I've never had a bad bearing that was quiet. Maybe in the
early stages... Maybe people cannot hear them over their droning fart cans.
