Re: stage 2 clutch ?? (bigcrazydude1)
you don't get horsepower from a clutch

shup you. although that would help, and it's more convenient to do while your in there, he doesn't necessarily need one for the clutch to have an effect.

"Stage 2" means nothing to us. Different manufacturers use different terms for each of their clutches. For example a Stage 2 ACT kit might be the equivalent of a Stage 4 Clutchmasters or something. Just for example.
You have to tell us which clutch manufacturer you are talking about. Then tell us the modifications on your car.
To the above poster, a lightened flywheel doesn't mean anything. Don't give out wrong information. A lightened flywheel isn't the best solution for every vehicle application. Do you know that a powerful clutch + lots of power + a lightened flywheel = a shattered flywheel possibly flying through the cabin and causing serious damage?
And to the original poster, a clutch doesn't give you horsepower. It helps you utilize the power you already have by not having any parasitic loses in the drivetrain.

</TD></TR></TABLE> was that without a lightened flywheel, there will not be any difference in your horsepower, but your acceleration and deceleration will increase.
Now to answer nyzpapi4u's question. If you search on this website, you will find most of the answers to your questions.
This is a couple good posts on on flywheel and horsepower.

Meaning your kidding your self if you think your going to have any gains from getting a m4d t1t3 ''stage 2'' RAC3ING clutch... without a lightweight flywheel.
If your talking about a stock lightened flywheel being dangerous.. if lightened to much they can prove to crack and shatter.. never heard of any ''shattering'' and coming in and hitting you.
I personally have never had a problem with my fidanza 6.5lb flywheel & I've never heard of any problems.

Did I say that? I said it doesn't "MEAN ANYTHING."
I skipped the whole part about increasing mechanical advantage, because this post didn't warrant that. It was obvious that the poster I was responding to wouldn't understand AND didn't need to know that to answer his post.

Then you should of never said this:

It just pisses me off for the fact you told him to not give out wrong information when HE DIDN'T GIVE OUT ANY WRONG INFO.
