Someone stole my intake, my car won't start now.
A couple days ago my intake was stolen from my 1995 Acura Integra. I noticed because when I went to start my car it didn't start, so I popped the hood and noticed that I had no intake. Before they had stolen my intake my battery had some problems. It would sometimes need a boost and did not hold a lot of charge(would discharge rather quick if anything was turned on after the car was off). After they stole my intake my battery completely died probably because of the weather dropping to around 10 degrees. It was so dead that I couldn't unlock or lock my car inside the interior. I did boost the old battery, but my car still did not turn on, this time the lights came on and the engine turned really slow. I also heard a repeated clicking sound.
I acquired a new battery from my friend and the battery is good. When I installed it the car's headlights turn on, dashboard lights turn on when I turn the key twice, etc. With the new battery when I attempt to start the car the lights in the dashboard go out. I hear one click in the interior, and I hear clicking noises come from the engine bay.
So I now tried to start the car with a boost with the new battery. The engine cranks, slowly. Then the dashboard lights gets dimmer and dimmer the longer I try to start the car. I can't get it to turn over. When I took the jumper cables off the other car and tried to start the engine it went back to normal no lights and clicking when attempting to start the engine.
I tried to clean my terminals today and tightened them up today before I boosted the car. What could be wrong with it? Maybe the douche that stole my intake stole something else or messed with a wire?

You put a new intake on right? It won't start just running off the throttle body. Also try starting fluid.

I have not put in a new intake. I was told that I can start the car without a intake? But not recommended or whatever because of foreign substances going into my engine.

I mean you might be able to get it to start, but it's not going to run well and it's hazardous to the motor. It will probably stall too. With the temp at 10 degrees, it will be even harder. See if you can get a new air intake or make a temporary one (from home depot ).

Lol I'm guessing they popped open my hood and were disappointed to find my b18b1 motor, and said **** it lets just steal this guys intake..

Lol not having an intake is not going to cause your engine to stall or run bad. Just need a filter to make sure only air gets in. Starting the car without one isnt an issue, hell, i know people that run with no filter. The problem is not your battery. Make sure the starter didnt knock a wire loose from them taking the intake. Most definitely that.

^ok man try it in 10 degree snowy weather. modern cars with sensors and ecus don't like changes. its not going to work well. that's why you don't see people driving around with filters attached to their throttle bodies.
BTW, try push starting the car if you haven't tried.

I don't see why the car wouldn't start without an intake tube..
I can take mine off right now and it'll run just fine, and Ive seen countless other people that use just a filter as the intake..
Start with checking your grounds and for maybe something else they might have messed with..

Sounds more to me like the starter is Bad.
if the sarter is failing it will draw more power to turn the Engine. it should only draw at most 70Amps to start the car.
also try removing the alt and ac belt and see if it will start if it does you may have a siezed alt or AC pump.
It sound odd but a siezed alt is why my first honda wouldn't start (it was a 82 CVCC)

Re: Someone stole my intake, my car won't start now.
As mentioned, there should be no problem starting the car with out anything up to the TB, in fact the colder the air going in the better, the only issue is debris due to no filter.
Your symptoms, [dimming lights, lights going out and "clicking"] indicate a connection problem, most likely a grounding issue, check/redo your main grounds, [batt. neg.(-) post and cable clamp, batt. to chassis ground and chassis to engine ground] DO NOT just eyeball them, disconnect, clean and reconnect, making sure connections are tight.
You can not tell if a ground is good by looking at it or even if it is "tight", even a continuity test with a multimeter is not ideal, [continuity will change with load] disconnect/clean/reconnect is the only way to be sure.
Even if grounding is not your problem, they should be redone if for no other reason then to elliminate them as the problem. 94

Also I did this yesterday with only disconnecting the terminals only and cleaning them and put it back tighty, but now my headlights flicker and my right headlight only comes on sometimes(highbeams nice and bright for some reason). Everything else electrical seems to get good power, except for the dashboard and when I crank the engine again.
I wanted to do this today as it was a good day but it got dark on me by the time I got home. Tomorrow I'm going to attempt to do what you asked and check the connections in my starter to see if I get anything.
Edit: Also forgot to add that my car came with HID headlights(highbeams normal).
