Re: Shotpeen ls rods (Fern413)
Does shotpeening really help make the rod stronger? Where to get it done at and do most machine shops do it? I'm in the middle of a rebuild

quick thought, before any money is spent on the stock rods, consider the 4340 aftermarket rods {like eagle} you can grab for $300. when you consider the bankroll you are going to drop on a motor build, rods are not a place you want to skimp.

Re: Shotpeen ls rods (idrivesideways)
ya thats what i was thinking but if these shotpen ls rods are cheap and decent for stock ls vtec wouldnt be a bad idea for some temp stuff until more power is added and money can be spent

i think he's refering to the fact that you would need to take 1 mm or so, off each side of the ls rods to fit itr pistons. (correct me if i am wrong honda-tech).
