Shooting flames
Will I shoot flames out of my exhaust if I put a test pipe on? I have a gsr with i/h/e. My friend had all that stuff on his rx-8 and shot flames when he put his test pipe on.

Lol, no. If you shoot flames, you got a problem...if you're buddy had flames on his RX-8 and was shooting flames with a test pipe, then he either 1) had issues with his motor or 2) put a flame thrower kit on his car and didn't tell you...
But no you will not shoot flames with i/h/e/tp

Rotary motors will shoot flame ***** without a catalytic converter.
You may get some louder pops, but you won't have flames come out.

Re: Shooting flames (GRAF-FITI)
will you get flames out of your exhaust? not likely, unless there's something really wrong with your engine.
will you get lots of buzzing and rasping out of your exhaust? yes...definitely.
why are you putting a test pipe on? you're not gonna get mad power out of it, your VTEC won't kick harder...all it's gonna do is throw a CEL, make your car louder, and make some smoke come out.

I hope that doesnt trigger a cel.

If you have a 96-01, it most likely will.
My brother used to have an old '74 Chevy pickup with a carbureted straight 6 and a three speed manual. He used to build speed, cut the ignition while in gear, allow the exhaust to load with fuel and air, and then restart. That definitely shot a fireball. Of course he jettisoned the muffler the first time that he did that.

agreed, im not a ricer tho my car is all stock on the outside and you cant even here it cause it has an exmag exhaust that sounds stock for the most part. although, with that said, about 80% of the guys under 30 that live around here are ricers or dirkas. hahahahaha
