Default Replacing other belts on Integra gsr.

Do you need to replace the alt, ac, ps belts when changing the timing belt? I am getting the timing belt replace this weekend on 94 Integra gsr, 108k(*previous owner didn't replace it*), so I was wondering should i replace the other 3 belts also.

Do they need to take off the 3 belts before getting to the timing belt? I was thinking if they have too, might as well give them the 3 new belts to replace at the same time. Any help is appreicated. Thanks.

yes, while your in there, replace the belts. You have to take them out to get to the timing belt. One other wise idea, replace the water pump while your in there. I had my timing belt done at 90000 mi and didn't have the pump replaced. About 5000 miles later, guess what started leaking. Have fun

Aww man don't scare me, I had my timing belt replaced at 89K and didn't have the pump replaced, either. I'm at 106K right now and I don't think the water pump is leaking *knock on wood*.

As for the belts, the alternator and PS belts are removed when changing the timing belt, so go ahead and replace those if your old ones are looking worn. The A/C belt, on the other hand, requires unbolting the front lower left engine mount (not the big one, the small one underneath) to remove it, so when the timing belt is changed, the A/C belt is typically just hung on that engine mount and not removed completely. You shouldn't be charged extra to replace the alt. and PS belts, if you give them the parts, but you might be charged a bit more labor to replace the A/C belt. However it shouldn't be much. If they say anything like they have to remove the compressor or depressurize the system, they're lying. Half an hour after we changed my timing belt, my A/C belt snapped, so I replaced it the next day, and it only took me about an hour only because I was learning as I went along.

I've now got 125k miles on mine and the pump has been leaking since 95 or 100k. I wish I would have known about this board when I bought my car because I would have known to change out the pump. Now I have to turn around and redo the timing belt and water pump. I just hope that thing holds on until summer.

Thanks for the help guys. Yeah, I order the AC, ALT, and PS belts too just in case. I'm going to tell them to replace it at the same time since they are taking it off anyway. I also order a couple of engine seals, this ensuring a complete timing belt change for me.
