would removing the rear tow hook slow down theives with tow trucks?

Just try to make ur car the least accessable to a tow truck the best you can. Paralell park if you can. You may need the tow hook in the future so I wouldn't recommend removing it.

Plus,the tow hook is the rear jacking point. So if you plan on working under your car at all, I suggest you leave it on.

I use the side of the carm just in front of the rear tire.

It is used to tie the car down when it is transported/imported.

I guess it can be used for that, it would probably make a scene/lotsa noise though.

i'd say leave the tow hooks. You might need them one day and also.. who's to say the thieves wont just drag your car by the axels.

There are tow trucks that have arms that lift your wheels up, and dont need to even touch your tow hooks.

im just worried about my car at school. I have security up the *** like you wont belive. You will need a tow truck to get my car.
Even though there is campus police and parking security 14 cars were stolen from my school last year. I'm wondering if those were tow truck thefts or smash and drive thefts. What do you guys think?

You'd have a hard time taking a lowered integra like that tho, it would scrape like a bitch... and before you say "they dont care", just think about the scene it would make with an oil pan making sparks down the street.

He's right. I've seen towtruck guys in action. With those particular towtrucks, they can go in and out in less than a minute to at least get it out of the area. Then they stop somewhere else to secure it. Best way to park is to park in forward with the wheels turned...no reverse parking. With a flatbed, they will use the towhooks...I'd guess they'd wrap the chains around the wheels and pull it up the bed if the towhooks weren't accessible. Either way, they'll get it.
