Remove crank pulley bolt
I have a 92 GS-R an I can not for the life of me remove the crank pulley bolt I went an got the tool to hold the pulley an tried wd-40 an a breaker bar I broke the socket. I tried my air impact an fried the compressor motor w/ no luck. Any an all suggestions to help my problem would be appreciated. Thanks

I used a breaker bar. I supported the elbow formed by the socket extension and the breaker bar on a concrete block, and then had my wife stand on the elbow to keep it in place. Then I stood on the breaker bar and it busted loose.
If you let the elbow move too much you won't transmit much torque to the bolt and the shearing force can break the socket/bolt. If that method won't work try just taking it to a shop and having them loosen it for you.
Edit: whatever you do, DON"T try heating it with a flame

what ive done in the past is putitng the car in 5th gear n having someone step on the brake n with a pry bar n mine always comes out never had a problem. thats how i get my axle nuts out as well with no problem. good luck let me kno how it goes.

Ahhhh the old crank pully bolt. i tried every trick in the book ha.
broke down and had to take it to a shop so the guy could use the big *** 2stage compressor with 1/2 impact.

Buy the tool for it, takes me 30 sec to take any crank bolt off.. There on ebay for cheap.. You can always diconnect the dizzy and brace the breaker bar on the ground and bump the starter but this should only be done as a last resort
