Default Recharging the A/C

Has anyone recharged the a/c on their integra? How much did it cost? I think my a/c is broken because it does not shoot out any cold air, its just the same air as the regular vent puts out. Is there anything i can do to double check that it does need to be recharged, is their something else that may be the problem that i have overlooked?
thanks

its real easy to recharge it yourself. just go to walmart and get the R-134a recharge kit ($20 or somewhere around there) follow instructions and enjoy cold ac.

I used to have a 91 accord and the a/c went out, but i think it was something different becuase it was gonna cost a few bills to fix it, so i just suffered through the heat. Im gonna have to check that kit out. THANKS!

the AC wasnt working on my 97 LS and for the longest time i had thought it was the fact that it needed a freon charge but i had a shop look at it and they said it was just recently recharged so by this point it was really pissen me off sop i checked my fuses and it wound up being that all of my fuses were mixed around so i put all the fuses back to where they belonged turned on my car then turned on the AC and it blew hella cold IDK its just something you might want to scope before going and getting it recharged

Does the compressor kick in?
(Visually look at the compressor with the A/C off the outer part of the pulley will not be spinning, turn the A/C on is it spinning now?)
No?
Then:
Have you checked the fuses?

Yes none are blown.
Then:
Have you had the pressure checked in the system to make sure there is enough refrigerant?

There are pressure switches to prevent the compressor from running when the system is empty as it can damage things...

Check these things and get back with us...

I'm not real sure but rapid cycling indicates pressures are too high? Like you put in too much refrigerant? Did you measure pressures or did you just hook up a bottle & put it in?

Or maybe the system is blocked - like if the recriver/dryer dissicant has come apart & it's plugging up the expansion valve.

Oops - I forgot to look that up last night... Sorry.

all right where is the A/C fuse at? I looked in 3 fuse boxes and saw nothing that said A/C. I Checked a bunch of things that might have been A/C fuses but im not sure that they were the right ones. So which fuse box is it in (interior/exterior) and what is it labeled as?
thanks

the ac in my ls wont come on if its out or low on refrigerant, just buy the kit, pop the hood, take off the little green cap next to the radiator and fill her up.
