Radio won't take my code for some reason.. any ideas?
I put my stock deck back in today after selling my MP3 deck to a friend. I have the code written in like 3 places in my owner's manual, as well as having the radio theft identification card with the code on it.
I turn on the radio with the car running, and it says code on the display, so I input the code with the preset buttons, then just gives me an error. After it gives me 2 errors I just turn off the car, unplug the radio's harness for 10 seconds and plug it back in to prevent it from locking me out.
Is there anything different that I need to be doing? On most hondas I have seen you just input the code and it is good to go.

it should wokr if you are useing the right code.. ahve u used it before? i know my radio was swapped so i had to find the paper witht he new code when i needed it.. grab the serial on the radio and drive down to the dealership. they cna hook you up for a price. maybe even free if your really nice.

I know the dealer I worked for required the actual radio and ur insurance card or registration (to show that u actually own the car & didn't just jack the radio) we would give them the code free....

try looking under the hood....if i remember correct it's on the left side somewhere either on the underside of the hood, on the wall of the front 1/4 panel or on the upper strut mount area... some dealerships print it on a sticker and place somewhere... I'll check mine later to confirm. Good luck!
