Are you sure? I'd fathom a guess that there are some more performance oriented setups out there than the typical lowrider crap that floods the market, could be wrong, but would like to here from someone knowledgeable on the subject if there are

It depends heavily upon the exact type of racing. For instance, in a drag race they could actually help maintain traction a bit during the launch, however I wouldn't trust them on a road course.

Ive got air-ride on my '01 audi Allroad. Its a twin-turbo v6 and it has a pneumatic suspension system. It automatically levels itself off on hard turns. It has virtually no body roll what-so-ever. And its AWD. It squats like **** tho when you do a hard launch.

Re: (TimmydaTeg)
i have air ride in one of my tegs... the setup that i have now wouldnt be good for road racing unless i maybe got some thick sway bars to stop the body roll... with my current setup it has a very soft ride cuz i have accumulators which help on bumps and stuff... with out them the ride is really stiff... if your using it for drag it wouldnt be too bad cuz you can raise up the back of the car and drop the front end a bit... with the back raised up, the rear will be pretty stiff depending on the air pressure which should help out on launches and shifting to keep the weight on the front of the car... hope that makes sense
