Icon6 push button start? or new ignition?

wuts up HT? so my integra gets jacked by some idiots that live around my block..and it gets recovered...turns out my car is completely stripped!! well the whole interior... thats all they took was the interrior so it looks like a full blown track car.

they busted my drivers side window and broke the ignition right off of my steering column! how the hell do people do that crap?!? and then it looks like they unscrewed the back piece of the ignition off and started it with a screwdriver. so now... i can just drive around down and start my car with a flathead...but my question is... should i get a push button start with a quick release steering wheel with a couple of kill switches and a sensitive *** alarm? or should i buy a clutch lock and alarm and a new ignition housing and install it back onto my steering column???

if i buy a new ignition housing... anybody know how or where i can find out how to install it? cuz i have searched alot and cant find anything. it looks hella complicated to even get it off ya know?! thanks everybody

Firstly, I am sorry to hear about your misfortunes. I think that a push-start button sounds pretty cool. As far as anti-theft goes, if you have the money to invest in it, get as much as you can; possibly even motion sensors and a GPS tracker. Feel free to private message me if you need any help finding anti-theft stuff.

As far as the ignition and such goes, here are a few articles that I came across that will hopefully help:

Best of luck

Get yourself a Helms manual. It shows how to install a new ignition and steering column. When my car was stolen and the steering column was busted, it looked complicated to me as well. But once I read how to do it and followed the diagram in the manual, it was easy. Just had to drill out the shear bolts and bought a used Type R ignition.

do everything possable cause when my integra almost got stolen...they twisted the clutch lock off, broke the ignition since i would turn it till it locked, and i had a quick release..thank god for the kill switch tho...but im guessing something scared them cause they left the car as is ...didnt even take anything from inside..i had my multimeter right behind the driver seat, broadway mirror didnt get taken..not even the skunk2 shift ****..or ipod that was RIGHT there... the next day after staying at my freinds that night i invested in a 2way pager, got a quick release cover lock thing from NRG, another clutch lock and i bent the one they took off so it was funcition and put it on both the clutch and gas pedal from there on out...and i got a trunk and hood switch put in as well and it never got f-ed with anymore for the time i lived there finishing school

dang thats hella crazy! i had a kenwood deck that plays my music off of the memory flash drives that u hook up to a computer. that flash drive not only had my music.. but thousands of family pictures that i cant even get to anymore because they are all in there!! also took my car seat and stroller! my girlfriend and i had to go buy a new carseat right after that because we had to go places. they took brand new tein s.tech lowering springs that i was gonna install the next day so i had them in my trunk. i just barely ordered them from password jdm a week before! sucks tho... i just cant believe i have an empty *** shell in my backyard...lol
