Default Problems with my short shifter!

I recently installed a B&M "The Edge" short shifter in my 97 GSR and the S.O.B. rattles a lot. When it is in neutral and I rev, it rattles, or when I take it up and sort of let the motor wind down it rattles. I love the throw, but the rattling just drives me nuts. This particular shifter can be used for many different cars, (older Integras and Civics). Could it be that it just doesn't fit right (not the right shifter for the car or what?) Has anyone else had this problem with this shifter or any other shifter? If so what can I do to stop the rattling?

make sure that the linkage is not against anything on the exhaust. My short shift linkage was against a part of my exhaust (can't remember what they said it was against) but that was causing it to rattle.

That was another thing that I thought it could be. So what did you do? Chop the part that was hitting the exhaust?

they just yanked on the linkage more to the opposite direction. it then stayed and they redid it and have had no problems

The bottom of my shifter was narrow, can fit in Civics, but the bottom of Integra shifters are wide, I had to use washers on the bolt as spacers to take up the extra space on the bolt in the shift rod. Could this be your problem? Mine rattled alot before I got the right size washers in there. No it doesn't make any noises whatsoever.

Did the B&M shifter come with polyurethane bushings? If not, are you using any?
