Problems With Engine at Constant Throttle Only When Warm
Hi everyone,
So my 2000 Teggy recently started acting funny on my way home from work. It started up fine, and drove normally up until it warmed up. After being warm, I noticed that anytime I came to a stop, the idle rpm started dropping really low, (about 200rpm) to the point where it almost stalled. I let it idle its way as far down as it wanted to, but it never did stall. Every time it dropped in rpm's, it sat at about 200rpm for a few seconds (about 3-5) and then suddenly revved itself up to about 1500 and then settled itself at its normal idle rpm (about 800).
The next weird thing it started doing, was that anytime I held a constant throttle while driving, (in any gear at any speed) it suddenly begins to lose power. If I keep my foot on the pedal constant, it begins to lose power and speed, and just like before where it suddenly comes back to life, it does the same with a sudden jerk, and all power comes back. It will do this repeatdly over and over again. As I said, it'll do this at any speed, in any gear, but ONLY at constant throttle and ONLY when the car is warm. If I modulate the throttle constantly, I see no signs of this "power loss" while driving.
The Teggy had been running fine up until this began to happen. I have already checked things like the TPS and MAP sensor with a multimeter, and they checked out fine. I replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, and wires. I checked the resistance in the coil, and it was also fine. I'm running out of things it could be. The weird thing is, that there are no signs of this problem when the car is cold! The problems begin to happen only when the car is warm. Other than that, the cur runs and feels fine. I can't feel any difference in performance, which is why I'm stumbled. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

Check for codes.
When was the last time fuel filter was changed.
You may want to do the PGM-FI Main Relay DIY fix to elliminate it as the possible problem...
