power steering pulley offline with harmonic balancer, anyone else??
95 gsr, when I got it for a great deal the belts were real bad squeaky. I changed the alt. belt and pwr steering belt, (no a/c), and the squeaking was gone, for the most part. when investigating more about this remaining squeak I notice that when looking directly down the power steering belt, I can tell that it is offline with the harmonic balancer, just a little bit, causing the belt the bend. I made adjustment after adjustment of the mounting bolts and the belt tensioner but I could never get the belt perfectly lined up, I was only able to minimize the squeaking.
Could the pulley on the power steering pump be bent? could the power steering pump it self be bent some how on it's mounts? I highly doubt the brackets that the pump mounts to are bent, because they seem solid. Any ideas help, thanks guys

you have adequate P/S fluid yes? 2nd there is maybe a few mm of wiggle room with the pump try loosening all the bolts and lining it up. but most times if it wines its low on p/s fluid.

yeah fluid is proper. the loosening and re adjusting of the tensioner and the two bolts is the main procedure that effects the line up of the two pulley's. Maybe the last person who installed the belt didn't adjust properly, bent or damaged my pulley bearing, and now I have to fine tune that **** to get rid of the squeak. The squeak is no longer appearing at idle, but the second I give it gas it starts up and changes frequency with rpm. Anyways, thanks for the advice, i'll keep adjusting the bolts/wing nut, and see what I can accomplish.
