Default PORT-MATCHING: Throttle body to intake manifold question

hello honda-tech. i recently purchased a jdm GSR motor (b18c) and it came with a skunk2 intake manifold already installed. I am looking into purchasing a throttle body to match with the intake manifold. does anyone know the size in millimeters of the skunk2 manifold for my application so i can port-match the manifold to the throttle body?

im on skunk2.com right now and it says the b-series manifold is 64mm at the throttle body opening and can be ported up to 75mm. so without porting the manifold id be looking for a 64mm throttle body correct? and what would be the result if i left the manifold alone and got a bigger throttle body such as 66mm or 68?

if you leave the manifold alone and get a 68 throttle body it will work. it will open and close just fine.

64-65mm is the size of your manifold, they are made to fit the ITR TB perfect.

Why would you do that for, a stock gsr will run better with a 65-66mm TB you noob... A large TB and larger port should be used on turbo or 84mm or larger size blocks. 2liter blocks are known to like 68mmTB, and port. larger 2.2L or turbo'd like the 70-75mm TB with larger manifolds like the performer X. Too big of a port on a 81mm block will hurt the performance of the engine even if tuned on a larger in injector...Your vtec will come in real late, and struggle in mid-range RPM's.

any jackass that says get a 68mm throttle body and put it on 64mm opening is really not thinking at all. get a itr or a 64mm throttle body. U can get a itr for cheap and have maxbore portmatch it and taper it also. and the guy above is right. with a close to stock NA teg 64 65 is ur best bet any bigger and ur going to hurt the purformance
