We will need more info. What block and piston is it? Can you post a pic of the top of the piston. You said you have eagle b18b rods on all 4 but is this happening with all the pistons? If not, are those rod bolts torqued? Its either that or you have the wrong parts somewhere.

1:was the block decked 2: what rod bearings/clearances used 3:were all these parts "new" parts 4:was anything done to the crank 5:do you have access to a deck bridge ?

also WHO assembled the block I think that's the biggest question.

Checked, the rods part number is crs5531a3d which is for a b20 because the length is 5.531" but the seller stated it will fit a b18b. The right part number is crs5394a3d which has a rod length of 5.394"

ok but you still need to answer the questions I posted, they both share a 89mm crank so that shouldn't be the issue. this may be better suited for the "all motor section"

hmm always though b20/b18's shared the same length. That is stick out above the deck pretty high.

im 99% sure they do have the same length. im pretty sure ive used b18 rods in a b20 before. even zeal uses 137mm for the nonvtec rod length. maybe you were just shipped the wrong ones. that is wayy beyond "you had your block decked" lol.

The rods they gave me is 5.531" long, thats why its sticking past the deck, the stock rods are 5.394". Whats weird is when i look up the part number for the 5.531" rod, some website say its for a b18b and others say its a b20. They called it a "long" rod so maybe its for a stroker kit or something.

the reason i say they should be the same is both cranks are 89mm unlike the 87mm of the VTEC engines. Who assembled the engine ? sounds like you bought them of an ebay seller HE owes you new rods. 1 start feedback his *** asap.
