Performance Aluminum Radiator or OEM replacement?
So my oem DC radiator with 130,XXX miles is now leaking from the tank where it meets the top. Its time to upgrade right, so I need some feedback to see what works for me. Its my DD and moderately beat upon, mostly babied.
I need something thats direct fit and wont interfere with any oem fans or ac stuff.
leaning towards:
skunk2 alpha
mishimoto
Help

the best of the breed is the koyo. it uses real brazed tubing and holds up to track abuse
that said i would get another plastic tank from rock auto. the full size integra radiator from the factory is actually quite large for the displacement of the engine.
the stock fans won't fit any of the aluminum radiators except the koyo and that radiator is so thick you can't use stock fans and a header. then again it's so thick you don't even need fans. i kid you not i had one of those on the type r and in 100deg weather. in traffic....no fans, it did not overheat.
you can either get a spectra via rock auto or amazon or the koyo OE plastic radiator is part number W0133-1608401
the big aluminum one is on ebay for $300
something like this is cheap and gets you back on the road

Ive only heard good things about the Mishimoto and is what I plan on buying for my car next. Its got a lifetime warranty as well. The only thing that sucks is you will have to replace the fans to work with this radiator.

Mizu rads from sparkplugs.com...

Works great in my 94 RS, good drop in fit, well made rad, direct fit OEM rad fan, and great service from sparkplugs.com 94

I've used both eBay cheapos and recently because of time used a cheapo from advance auto for 75 with a coupon. No difference in quality. I've actually been surprised at the quality of eBay rads and have used about 6 with no issues.

I have the koyo aluminum rad.. v-core 36mm
OEM fitment, drop in. Oem fans fit, etc. I also have a after market header which still has a lot of clearance.
id recommend it
