pcv system help (oil seperator removal)
How the hell do you remove that thing?!
Im having trouble removing the little black box thats part of the pcv system. Its located under the intake manifold. Im trying to get it out from underneath but the thing wont fall loose. Anybody have helpful tips on how to remove that thing? I have a b18a1 if that helps anything.

why are you trying to remove it? just leave it. but if you must, there's only one or two bolts holding it on. once you get the bolts off the only thing holding it in place is the rubber gasket. it'll just take a little wiggling to remove.

I was replacing the pcv but it broke in half . Also ripped the lower hose and nipple going towards the box. And then I punched a hole in the box trying to wiggle it out with a flathead.
Ive been trying to wiggle the hell out of it for 6 hours with no luck. The box looks like swiss cheese and still wont drop out. I was gonna go at it from top but then stripped an intake manifold nut.
Guess this is what happens when you dont wear green today. Bump for more help.

Word. I think my car was in an accident before I owned it maybe the clearance is smaller on mines. I dunno its being stubborn, Ive tried twisting it and angling it but wont drop down.

oh yea you can stuff the bottom of that with say a scrub pad, like an SOS pad without soap to help filter the oil vapor...
