I just removed my tranny for the first time. WOOOOT!!!! lol, and i stripped the threads on the stud that goes through the mount into the top of the transmission...anyone know how to remove the stud from the transmission case?

Clean the threads up with a die set, and install one of the mount nuts upside down, and the other right side up. Tighten them together and use a wrench on the bottom bolt to loosen the stud.

If that doesn't work, use Vice Grips.

So i had the same problem, i have done both as well as tried a pipe wrench, it will not be removed. has anyone ever used an easy out on one?

if the two nuts thing didn't work, then weld a bar onto it and break it loose.
