Default overfilled oil.....

ok guys, changed my oil yesterday......I accidentally put in approximately .25 - .5 quart too much when i refilled it according to the dipstick. Will it be ok, or should I let some of it drain out?

if it's between the two dots you should be fine. yes if there is too much, drain some out.

It'll be ok. If you pour in way too much. I heard it'll start to bubble up in the crank case which isn't good.

But a fourth to a half isn't bad. Especially if you drive your car really hard and have high miles. Most of it will prolly leak out through some of the seals and **** eventually untill it's time to change oil again.

Yea, or if your car burns oil like mine does, it woulnt hurt to fill a little more than needed since you will have to refill later anyways, just not as soon as you expect.
